Whether you are a Christian Non-profit or a Christian business, we are called to be driven by a higher purpose and motivated by the teachings of Christ. In Colossians 3:23-24 we read, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Our values of integrity must inspire us to go above and beyond in our work. We are to be striving for excellence in all that we do.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
- Colossians 3:23-24
One way to do this is to be committed to personal growth, continuously improving ourselves and our organization to better serve our (customers) missionaries. We can glean this personal growth through scripture reading, prayer, reading books, listening to blogs or pastors, having an accountability partner or even a personal growth coach.
God doesn't want us to do this alone. We need to embrace teamwork and collaboration, knowing that we are stronger together. Positive work ethic reflects our faith in Jesus and allows us to create a positive and uplifting environment where our employees thrive. Modeling Jesus in all that we do.
God doesn't want us to do this alone.
However, as we work with diligence and integrity, we are not to only be focused on ourselves, but also on the well-being of our team and the positive impact we can make in the world as a Christian witness and business leaders. Philippians 2:4 says, Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. We are motivated by our faith to work hard and make a meaningful difference in others. I am proud to be a part of an organization that stands for something greater.
Together, I motivate us to live out our Christian work values, as we are excited to continue our journey of success with purpose, passion, and faith.
